Thanks for your response! I agree there is definitely more freedom to fail in the US. Since in Europe everyone can do mediocre and be fine, whereas in the US you’re more likely to either do really well or really poorly, do you think the mediocre root is better for the country? Bc even though no one is doing astronomically well, it’s still the most good spread around and allows people to live a more balanced life, because you’re not so caught up in work, or struggling to get by. Then again, it is about priorities like you said. Maybe some people prefer opportunity more- but some people prefer to live life more even if they don’t have a lot.
